1.

What is my board's requirement for the number of PDH credits required for licensure renewal?

The number of PDH required for license renewal varies by jurisdiction.  For states that require continuing professional competency activities, it is typically between 12 to 15 hours if renewed annually or 24 to 30 hours if renewed biennially, although the state of Florida only requires 8 hours biennially.

For more information you can check your state requirements on PDHseminars.com.

2.

What type of activity is accepted for PDH credit by the state engineering licensing boards?

State boards typically accept a PDH activity that meets the following criteria:

"A course or activity whose purpose and objective are clear with a content that will maintain, improve or expand the skills and knowledge of the licensee’s field of practice”.

All state boards accept live, interactive seminars that cover material in engineering ethics, engineering laws & rules, and the core engineering disciplines.  Most states accept business skills and personal development seminars, such as Project Management and Technical Writing.  The notable exception is the New York state board, which does not accept these types of seminars.

3.

Will my engineering board accept PDH credits offered through PDHseminars.com?

Florida and New York are the only states that require engineers to complete PDH activities offered by pre-approve sponsors.

In all the other states that mandate Continuing Professional Competency Activities to maintain licensure, the state board does not require PDH activities to be offered by pre-approved sponsors.  It is the individual engineer's responsibility to ensure that activities meet the board's guidelines.

All of the seminars offered by PDHseminars.com comply with the guidelines set forth by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).  As such, seminars offered by PDHseminars.com are accepted by all state boards that require Continuing Professional Competency Activities to maintain engineering licensure, with the exception of New York* and Florida*.

* Some seminars offered by PDHseminars.com are accepted by the New York and Florida state boards.  For more details, refer to the overview page for each seminar.

4.

Are PDHengineer.com course credits guaranteed to be accepted by my board?

All seminars listed on PDHseminars.com cover topics that have been evaluated to ensure compliance with the state boards' PDH requirements.  Therefore, we are able to provide an iron-clad money-back guarantee:

If your state licensing board rejects a seminar offered by PDHseminars.com for any reason, we will provide a full refund of the purchase price of the seminar.  Simply provide written proof of the Board's rejection by mail, fax, or email.
